Robert Pattinson Might Need to Shave Soon
Robert Pattinson didn't look quite Oscar ready with his scruffy beard in LA yesterday. There's a lot of talk about who will be his costars in New Moon, but at least for this week the focus is more on joining in the award season's biggest night. He's been taking advantage of the pre-awards festivities though tomorrow it's down to business with rehearsals. A year ago the Academy Awards probably seemed like a lifetime away for the Twilight star, but what a difference a runaway hit can make.

Chris Weitz will not direct Eclipse!
Chris Weitz will not direct the third film in the Twilight series, Eclipse, a source close to the production tells EW.com exclusively. Because New Moon, which Weitz is helming, and Eclipse are due to be released so close together (on Nov. 20, 2009, and June 30, 2010, respectively), Weitz will be in post-production on New Moon at the same time that Eclipse will be shooting. That said, the source confirms a report that the movies will not be shot simultaneously or back-to-back; there will be a brief gap between the production of both films.

‘Eclipse’ Gets a Release Date!
Just a day after "Twilight" fans got a look at the artwork for "New Moon," they're getting another treat: On June 30, 2010, "Eclipse" is coming.
"Yes, it's true," a source at Summit Entertainment confirmed to MTV News Friday evening (February 20). " 'The Twilight Saga's Eclipse' is dated for Wednesday, June 30, 2010."
The big news comes on the heels of a report that the "Twilight" studio had selected a release date for the third film in the series. The threequel's plot synopsis was also leaked for the first time.

‘New Moon’ Art And Official Title Revealed!
MTV News has the scoop on the official name and logo for Chris Weitz’s soon-to-film sequel to “Twilight.” Dubbed “The Twilight Saga’s New Moon” (although the title treatment leaves off the “’s”) the film’s official title art stays true to the look of the first movie while swapping in an orange tint, a subtle crescent moon, and the release date of 11.20.09.

New Moon and Madonna????
Widespread Internet chatter that Madonna may participate in some capacity in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, may be only partly true, a source close to the production tells EW. Summit Entertainment, the studio behind the movie series, has no plans to cast the pop star and sometime actor in New Moon. However, because Madonna's manager, Guy Oseary, is a producer on the project, there is some talk of her providing songs for the sequel. Still, no deals have been made yet, and the plans haven't progressed beyond the that'd be cool stage.

Paris Hilton Has the Hots for Robert Pattinson!

It sounds like Paris Hilton wouldn't mind sinking her teeth into you.
"I just saw Twilight last night for the first time, and I have to say that I think Rob is a beautiful man and an amazing actor," Hilton gushed to us at Cash Money Records' Lil Wayne party. "He's fabulous!"
Yes, Hilton realizes she's a little a late to the Twilight game...
"Now I understand all the hype," she explained. "I just didn't get it before, but now it all makes sense. I really enjoyed the movie and loved watching Rob in it."

‘Twilight’ star says he bores people in 2 minutes!
How did “Twilight” heartthrob Robert Pattinson finally rid himself of a persistent stalker? According to the actor himself, all he had to do was bore her.
“I had a stalker while filming a movie in Spain last year,” Pattinson told Crème Magazine, as reported by England’s Press Association. “She stood outside of my apartment every day for weeks — all day every day. I was so bored and lonely that I went out and had dinner with her.”
Unfortunately for the obsessed fan, Pattinson did not have the fairytale first date in store that the woman might have been hoping for.

‘Twilight’ Invades The 2009 New York Comic-Con!
Superman, Spider-Man, Batman, and…Edward Cullen? That’s right, amongst the mutants and supervillains is none other than “Twilight.” The vamp franchise finds itself represented at Comic-Con in no less than two different areas on the show floor.
The publishers of Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” books is Little, Brown and Company, and the outfit has set up shop here at the convention, showcasing the work of their star author. “Twilight” fever also hit the Tonner booth, where their Edward Cullen and Bella Swan figures were on display.
